Here are just a few pics from recent events.. March has been a rather full (and enjoyable) month thus far – a new vehicle, a teacher refresher course, a theological seminar, times with family and lots of soccer..
Gathering around to pray for the new vehicle!
Ryan preaching (and standing rather oddly)
Ben and Chitani listening to a question while giving lectures on the Life of Christ
Ben, Becca and Braylon hanging out with some of the teachers during the week
Pretty self-explanatory
Eating some nsima and beef stew for lunch
Scott Adair (who is a professor from Harding University) traveled all the way to Malawi to lead us through this year’s theological seminar. He led us through some wonderful material concerning Christology & Baptism during this last week. We are deeply grateful that he and his son, Locke, took the time to come and visit.
Brother Ben (literally and metaphorically)
Locke receiving his gifts (some caps and a nice Namikango shirt)
Scott receiving his gifts (a beautiful painting and a wooden carved map of Malawi)
Most of the folk who attended the seminar
Braylon providing me with a wonderful photo opp
Using his engineering skills, Ben designed a soccer pitch for their front yard which will double as a tennis court (during dry season). The pitch is enclosed by a brick wall in order to create the feeling of an indoor (yet outdoor) pitch. Up and running for about two weeks now, this field has seen almost non-stop action.
Locke (with Namikango’s Alex) organized a youth day to listen to bring the youth together for some teaching, Frisbee, soccer and food. It was a wonderful time.
Braylon mowing the lawn with Makadyera
Braylon helping to move the dirt with his dump-truck
Braylon sitting to watch his dad swim in the triathlon
That’s all for now.
Love it and blessings as each of you blend into the new frontier of life!
Love the pics what beautiful children.
What a blessing for y’all to be there together…you boys remind me of pictures we would see of your Dad in Kenya, long ago. Much love and prayers for a safe birth for another Hayes!
Thanks for the continued updates.
God Bless,
